20+ Years Online!!!
When we first visited St. Croix,
back in October of 1998, we loved the island and it's
people so much that we immediately began dreaming about starting
a business on the island so that some day we might spend
a whole lot more time there enjoying a beautiful, friendly,
warm and sunny St. Croix beach!
Shortly after
buying our first property on St. Croix in 1999, we saw the
need for a quality St. Croix Tourist Information website.
The "official" tourism website that the U.S. Virgin Islands
Tourism Department had online at the time left a lot to
be desired, so we felt compelled to put a "real" website
online...one that included a wealth of St. Croix information.
In 2003, StCroixTourism.com
was officially born.
For the first
five years of its existence, all of the information included
on StCroixTourism.com was put there entirely free
of charge. We wanted to put as much information online as
possible to promote the island we love so much. As the years
passed, the website grew larger and larger, until it finally
got to be too much work for the two of us to do on a part
time basis. What we once did simply as a labor of love,
had grown into a full-time proposition! We realized we could
not continue do a good job with the website unless we devoted
full time to it, but we needed some financial help. The
best way for us to do that was to generate advertising income
from website.
To this day, we still include as much information
as we can, in every category, entirely free of charge. This
makes us much different than the other major St. Croix websites.
If you look elsewhere for information about say..."restaurants
on St. Croix"...all you will find on the other St. Croix
websites are restaurants that have paid for an ad on that
website. We include many, many St. Croix restaurants,
paid advertising or not, and give business owners the option to highlight
their business with beautiful display advertising. This
is also true for many other areas of St. Croix information.
Now that we have the financial help we needed from our many
St. Croix partners, we can devote ourselves fulltime to keeping our website
growing, current and full of great information!

Croix! While this is not true of many other "St. Croix" websites,
that divide their energies promoting St. Thomas and St.
John via their "sister" websites, we are all
about St. Croix! All of our energies and passion
go directly to promoting St. Croix...and only St.
Croix!
We have been
part of the St. Croix community since 1998, and we try very hard to
contribute to St. Croix's economy and its visibility as
a wonderful Caribbean destination!

and work very hard in large part so that we can spend a
lot of time traveling! We have traveled all over the world,
and have found that what we both love most are warm, tropical
destinations. Of all the tropical places we have
traveled to,
St. Croix is the place that stole our hearts right from
the start. We both love to swim, snorkel, SCUBA dive (St. Croix
has some of the best diving anywhere), sail, laugh with
friends, eat, drink, shop...and then eat and drink some
more...St. Croix is the perfect place for all of these activities
and much, much more!
We know that
you will love St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands just
