This sandy beach is located
on Protestant Cay, a small island in the middle of Christiansted harbor.
This is the only beach located in downtown Christiansted which makes it
very convenient for those staying in a downtown hotel. The small island,
which also has a hotel, restaurant and bar and a water sports facility,
is accessible by a small ferry which departs from the boardwalk near
Fort Christiansvaern. There is a small fee for the ferry service. The
beach has nice fine white sand and has a sandy bottom. There are lounge
chairs available and there are some palm trees for shade. The water is
usually very calm...making it a great beach for families with children.
